Every building carries a story and serves different purposes in people’s lives. Some are public, others privately owned. Some symbolise power and defence, others are luxury apartments for the rich. At the same time, many people live in shanty towns or shacks, others have neither a job nor a home. Some people live in tents as refugees since their homes have been destroyed.
Photographs taken between 1980 and 2025. The locations where the photos were taken are listed in alphabetical order. A combination of geography and photography.
The aim of the books is to inspire and support participants in my photography courses, especially the younger ones. Using photography as a language, I want to arouse curiosity, strengthen storytelling and create space for exploration and reflection.

Varje byggnad bär på en historia och har olika funktion i människors liv. Vissa är offentliga, andra privatägda. Några symboliserar makt och försvar, andra är lyxvåningar för de välbärgade. Samtidigt lever många i kåkstäder eller baracker, andra saknar både arbetsplats och bostad. Vissa människor bor i tält och är på flykt efter att deras hem har raserats.
Fotografier från åren 1980 till 2025. Platserna där bilderna är tagna presenteras i alfabetisk ordning, en kombination av geografi och fotografi.
Syftet med böckerna är att inspirera och stötta de deltagare jag handleder i fotografi, framför allt de yngre. Med fotografi som språk vill jag väcka nyfikenhet, stärka berättandet och skapa utrymme för utforskande och reflektion.
